2AN + 1MN Application 2 mnth but no ACKN OR BIOMETRIC letter

Hi,
We applied for Naturalisation on 24.08 through Manchester NCS. After 5 week on end of September we received a letter asking to pay for 1 application. Let’s not go into that detail that why did they not use the same card detail for that one application (payment slip was filled and Bank was well informed but as I said let’s not go into it).
They took money on 1st October but I am yet to receive any acknowledgement. I haven’t received any letter for biometrics. I am worried that because they did not take one applications fees initially, My application is sort of misplaced within system or what???
Can someone advise me what to do from here?
