Wondering if anyone who applies for citizenship gets a letter from the HO once it's been assigned to a caseworker or some people get it, some people don't?

In my family's case, I heard nothing for over 4 months until approval popped through letter box (this was just before biometrics enrolment was introduced).

When dealing with HO on immigration/citizenship matters patience is a virtue.
