Renewing Spouse visa Sponsor has no income

Hi,
I need to extend my spouse visa and the situation is that my husband did not have any income in the last year. However my income is £25,000 per year and it's above the requested minimum. Will my application be accepted?If yes, what documents does he need to show that he did not pay any tax and was unemployed during the last year? Cos it says we can use combined income when apply so as I understand it still should be alright.

You can use your income and submit payslips and bank statements.

My visa is expiring on 16/04/2016. Could you please tell me when is the latest date i can apply to extend it?

You need to apply before it expires. If you apply by post, I would suggest sending it no later than a couple of days before it expires.
