ILR

Post by akinsman » Thu Oct 29, 2015 9:41 pm

Hello

Please I need to be informed on continuous 5 years eligibility for ILR. I arrived in the UK 27 August 2010 and left back to my country on 22 September 2010. I returned on 2 June 2011 and I have not been out of UK since then. In all i have had total of 243 absence all this in the first year from 27 August 2010- 27 August 2011. With this absence, am I qualified for ILR by now having completed five years by 27 August 2015? and if i am not when will I be due for ILR. Thank You.

Absence of more than 180 days is a break in continuity of residence. Unless you are able to break this absence into two different 12 month periods, you will not qualify for ILR now.

Continuous period in UK is broken if you were absent from the UK for more than six months during a 12 month consecutive period.
