Post by Hello 27 » Mon Nov 02, 2015 6:10 pm

Hello guys

I am applying Flr m for my son born outside UK. I am not sure that I have to NHS health surcharge for him. Please comment in this regard.

Thanks

Yes you do, it is payable for all applicants except ILR and Tier 2 ICT migrants. If applying for FLR(M) for 2.5 years, you will have to pay £500 before submitting the application. I am assuming the child is in the UK currently??

Thanks CR001 for your reply.

I want to ask a one more question which is that how much health surcharge I have to pay if I apply 10 or 11 month before his Visa expiry. Would it be £500 or less?.

Thanks for reading my post........

FLR(M) extension is a 2. 5 year visa so you will have to pay £500, you cannot pay less.

You are choosing to apply early so it makes no difference. Why are you applying so many months early? What is the childs current visa status?

Hi CR001- thanks for your reply. My 3.dependants are in tier Enterpreneur category and I already received ILR six months before. Next month, my six month gross employment income would be £12800. As I told you before my dependents visa expiring 10 months time. I want to avail this opportunity of meeting income threshold and I want my family to be in FLR M route so they can apply ILR in five years time ( my 3 dependents arrive April 2011).

Applying 10 months early has no relevance. Your dependents have to switch to FLR(M) because you applied for ILR based on long residence.

You will have to pay the health surcharge for each dependent applying and it is £500 each for the 2.5 year FLR(M).
