I am on HSMP and want to do IT Contracting.
Could someone please reccomend good Umbrella Company?

What is an umbrella company? What is the daily rate that can be expected from them?

when u r doing contracting job? your payroll should be under some umbrella company or you must set up ur own private limited company. And as far as pay rate is concerned, that depends on your experience,location and technology u r working in.

I have 6 years of experience with expertise in database. I have subscriber to cwjobs job portal wherby I recieve ads of contract jobs. Can an indivisual not take those jobs? I was planning to move to UK and make some quick bucks by these kind of contract jobs. Am I mistaken somewhere.

Also please comment on salary with my kind of experience.

Sorry prem, i really dont have any idea about salary with your level of experience. To know how contract jobs work, i suggest you to visit the old threads in this forum. If you have any more doubts on contracting, you can mail me.
