Sponsor issues

Post by Kitenge » Wed Nov 11, 2015 4:18 pm

Hi everyone,

I have just received my Tier 2 visa, but my sponsor (who issued my CoS) advised me that they are not able to make me an offer at the time being and that I will probably have to wait a month or two before getting on board.

My doubts are:
1. Am I still able to travel to UK and wait for the formal offer to arrive?
2. Would I be able to go to UK and look for another job?

Thank you all in advance.

To get a CoS, I am almost certain that the job offer/job should be available from the start date. Is your sponsor an agency or umbrella company?

1. Not sure

2. You cannot work for anyone else but your sponsor on your current visa.

My sponsor is a "real" company and the start date on my CoS was 1st September 2015, but following a refusal and successful Administrative Review and I am able to start only now.

Do you have any idea what possible scenarios are?

Thanks.

You will need to liaise with your sponsor about when you are able to start your employment and plan your travel accordingly.
