Spouse Visa From Pakistan

Post by yoursbyheart » Mon Nov 16, 2015 6:34 pm

hi / Aslam o Alaikum

i hope you guys are well, i am here in need of some help and look forward to it from anyone who has information.
I am on indefinite stay in UK(was not when i got married) and want to apply for my wife's spouse visa but i do have few questions as below:
1. Is it mandatory or optional to get all the documents attested by solicitor or notary public(for example marriage certificates, my passport and visa copies) ?
2. sponsorship form(SU07) is mandatory or optional?
3. i have a tenancy agreement which is under 3 names mine, my friend and his wife of a 3 bedroom flat, do i need to get a property inspection report or is it enough? I do not have any bills/council tax under my name but do have bank statements and other correspondence
4. i heard now the sponsor(myself) need to submit the documents in sheffield directly, is it mandatory as some of my documents like marriage certificate and divorce certificate from previous wedding is in Pakistan. I am travelling to Pakistan by end of this year and was planning to apply my wife's spouse visa while i am there, can i do that or do i have to bring all documents back with me and submit to sheffield?
5. lastly, it would be greatly helpful and appreciated if anyone can let me know the whole procedure of applying the visa including the required documents.

sorry for so many questions and thanks for your time in advance, hope any of you can help me in this critical time.

Jazak Allah.
Atique.

Really, everyday?? Because this one (click) is the most recent and is dated August 2015!!

And this one (click) is information based on experienced, with the last contributor posting in June this year.

I believe that both threads answer your questions.

1. Not required for all docs, just your full passport copy.

2. Not required for spouse visa.

3. Required and should not be overcrowded.

The latest payslips/bank statements etc cannot be older than 28 days. Anything you submit should be a recent as possible.

It is not compulsory to submit a property inspection report.

thanks for your reply, i will use the tenancy agreement which i have jointly under my, my friend and his wife's name and attach a letter from my friend and his wife like a no objection certificate. do you know if there is a draft letter i can use?
I cannot get a property inspection report so i will have to do it this way.
I believe the property inspection report is highly recommended but not mandatory.

Thanks for your help again, very much appreciated.

A letter from your landlord will also help.

No there are no templates. Letters should just state facts and no objection re accommodation etc.

Hi

I am currently in my home country where i am applying my wife's spouse visa.
it is asking to pay the ihs in local currency i.e. PKR, is there anyway i can pay it in £££ as i do not have a local credit or debit card and dont want to use my UK account to pay in local currency.
Any help would be highly appreicated.

You have to pay in the currency/location of where you apply.

Even if you did the online app from the UK, it will still convert your £££ into the local currency at a slightly inflated exchange rate.

Thanks for the super quick response, does that mean i have to pay the visa fee in local currency as well?
Lastly i am planning to take all documents with me to london and submit from london to sheffield, please advise what original documents i should leave here with my wife for her appointment.

Hi Again

i hope you are well.
i need your help again with a question.
i have read somewhere(cant exactly remember if it was this forum or home office website or elsewhere) that when sending the supporting documents to Sheffield, i should include a prepaid return envelope, please advise if this is correct and/or compulsory?
would they send the documents back to me or to my wife in Pakistan?
your early reply will be highly appreciated.
thanks so much for all your help.

kind regards,
Atique.

You can provide one if you want your documents returned safely and not by 2nd class mail.

You can ask for them to be returned to you.
