on tier2 Dependent visa and hold a ltd company

Hi experts,

need urgent help.

I'm currently on a tier2 dependent visa and own a limited company.

I got a permanent job with sponsorship and need to apply for visa asap as the employer cannot wait till I close my limited company.

could you please share expert info on will my visa application be rejected as I am already a director of the company? or do they not consider that at all?

I cannot work on the current dependent visa since it is curtailed and I need to leave the country by mid-december, so don't have enough time.

Whys is your dependent visa curtailed?

You still need to apply for a new visa from your home country though.

Can't answer you director question though but will have do a bit of reading and see what I can find.

I think you were working on contract and that's why owning a limited company for tax related work. To apply for Tier 2 main applicant if you are getting sponsored, you need to go to your home country and apply. Not understanding why are you not able to close your limited company. I don't know how long does it take. But you can start initiating closure of your company and submit the relevant document with a letter to UKBA when applied for Tier 2 visa. Hope that helps.

thanks for the reply, I don't want to keep the company open either, but since I need to keep the company idle for 3 months to close it, I don't have that much time right now.

the question is, will ukvi consider my company directorship as an issue and reject the tier 2 general application?
