questions related to two referees’ and identity.

Post by peace84 » Wed Dec 23, 2015 8:42 am

Hi,
Referee letter,
I am in the process to apply for Naturalization for British Citizenship in January 2016.
I have questions related to two referees’ and identity.
First Referee
I am working for a company nearly 6 years and I am planning to take one referee as my ‘Manager’ i.e. who has professional standing and he knows me since I join the company.
Second referee:
For second referee I am planning to take from my colleague who currently working in the same company for more than 6 years again he knows me since I join the company and he is British passport holder.

My question here is can I take two different referee from same place (i.e. place where current I am working)??
Please advice
M

Applying for BC but Passport due to expiry in next 6 months

Post by peace84 » Sun Jan 03, 2016 12:27 am

Hi All,
I am planning to apply for British citizenship in this month and I am not using NCS and sending myself all original documents to HO.
I have one question related to my current passport which is due to expire in 6th June 2016 and so do you think this will be a problem?
Please advise whether I can apply for naturalisation for BC as my passport is due to expiry on 6th june 2016 or in next 6months time

Thank You.

It is fine, no need to renew your passport before you apply.

Please keep your queries about naturalisation in a single topic.

I have consult few of my friends and they said i should not take two referee from same place (i.e. my work place).

Do you think HO will send any query if i take two references from the same work place ?
Have you come across an applicant who had taken two references from the same work place ?

Please advise possible can you share a thread that has similar above situation .

Thanks once again.

Are your 'friends' qualified in British nationality law and HO processes?

Many applicants have used two referees from work. HO don't often contact referees. You are over thinking this.
