Transfer of Status whilst in Canada

Hi there.

I was wondering is it possible to change your visa status while you are in Canada. Can a study visa be changed over to a work visa or is this a shortcut in the law?

Can anyone throw some light on this or 'link' me to the answer.

Hi,

You can apply to change the condition on a particular permit (for example, changing employer on your work permit). However, study permit and work permit are two different permits. You cannot change from one to another.
