Critical Skill Permit (CSP)

Post by treefriend » Thu Dec 24, 2015 3:59 pm

Hey Folks,
Hope everyone is well.

I could not find any active CSP as Ireland board ,predominantly, used for EEA related applications. If there is a special thread which discuss CSP actively, please post the link.

My Question:
My brother has two kids (4years and 6 years old) and they all live in Middle East. His wife is passed away. He applied and luckily got accepted for a software developer role in an Irish company. His potential employer has submitted his CSP application 2 weeks ago.

Can someone please share the experience regarding followings?
  • How long department (djei) take to make a decision?
Once CSP is issued on his name, can he apply for a visa from his adopted country?
Does he need to make visa applications for dependents at the same time as his application?
Thanks in advance
