Dependent vias when converting from TIER1 to ILR

Post by Ashok.198311 » Mon Nov 16, 2015 4:48 pm

Hi,

I am applying for ILR this December and I have to apply for dependent (Not eligible for ILR as she is not completed 5 years) for visa extension as well. Is it better to go for the premium appointment at the same time or Should I apply once my visa is approved.

Also My another Question is if My visa is hold for decision then what will happen to dependent application if I choose to apply separately?

When I get my ILR do I have to apply my dependent as ILR dependent or extension as dependent on the PBS system?

Thanks

She can continue to extend her existing visa on PBS Dependent form if you get ILR.

She can apply as ILR Dependent on FLR(M), but this will reset her clock to zero and she will start a new 5 years qualifying period (she will lose the time already here as your dependent).

She will have to pay the immigration health surcharge for either route.

When does your Tier 1 G expire?

Hi,

Thanks My Tier1 general expires in January 2016. Does she need to do any English Language requirement tests?

She has not done any studies in UK No Ielts or Life in UK.

Thanks once again,
Ashok

If she extends on PBS Dependent form, there is no English test.

If she switches to FLR(M) once you get ILR, she needs English level A1 from an HO approved test provided.

Tier 1 Dependent application inside UK document guidance

Post by Ashok.198311 » Wed Dec 30, 2015 8:40 pm

Hi,

I recently received my ILR and I am applying for Tier 1 Dependent extension for my partner.

Do I need to send my original passport and BRP card with her application?

Thanks in Advance

Hi Ashok.198311,

I am also in same situation as you before applying your ILR.
Can you give me your advice please.

I am eligible for ILR in june 2016. My Tier 1 general visa upto 28 june 2016.
My wife and son has Tier 1 general dependent visa with same expiry date.
and they will finish 2 years by the time.

Shall i apply myself and my son for ILR first with Premium service (one day) and get ILR then apply for my wife as Tier 1 Dependent in the same month ?
Or
if i apply same time for all of us what documents do i need to provide?

Please advice ?

Thanks
Naveen
