Child benefit.

Post by wannago » Tue Jan 05, 2016 6:08 pm

HI all.I`m a British citizen,my wife is Brazilian, and our kids were born in Brazil. We are all living in Ireland where I am working. My wife applied for EU1 on 3 December and as yet has not received any response, her original entry clearance for 3 months expired on 22 December.
In this situation can we apply for child benefit,or do we need to wait until she receives a response from the EU1 application?

Hi Wannago,

Since you are British therefore you can claim your child benefit.

Make sure it is only claimed in one country.
