TIER 2 change of employment and notice period

Hello,

I've been on tier 2 visa with my current employer for 2 years. Today(5th Jan) I got a new visa issued with a new company after RLMT/COS etc. I've the following questions related to this.

1. My work start date with the new company is 14th March and the notice period I need to give in my current company is 2 months. Can I resign tomm and start my notice period?

2. Will this affect my ILR which I'm eligible for after 3 years? As the gap between my last working day with my current employer and the work start date with my new employer will be approx. between 7-10 days.

3. Will I be able to club the 2 tier 2's towards the 5 years for ILR?
