Passport with ILR lost - naturalisation process

Hi All,

A close friend of mine has lost her passport with ILR stamp inside UK. She has filed for her naturalisation through NCS about 4 months ago and awaiting home office response.

I wanted to ask what she is supposed to do now? She has informed the local police and received a reference number. She has applied for a new passport and expects to receive it shortly.

How does it impact her naturalisation process?

The replacement ilr brp process takes a long time. She should be getting her citizenship shortly. If she is going to get her naturalisation process Complete shortly, does she need to apply for replacement brp.

Anyways advice is appreciated as we are not receiving clear response from home office.

Thanks CR001. So is it ok if she doesn't apply for a replacement BRP and waits for her naturalisation process outcome.

Also, if she doesn't have a proof of ILR, how does it impact her status here?

She lost her passport and BRP, she has not lost her ILR.

The only difficulty is that she is unable to prove her status.
