British passport Renew, do we need new OCI

Hello Friends

My daughter got British passport for 5 years and she also got OCI.

She is currently in India and she will be there for a while.

We might need to renew the British passport while in India. If we are renewing British passport, do we need to apply for any miscellaneous services of OCI?

Its optional to renew OCI once you renew your passport

OCI registration certificate and visa have got to be re-issued by
availing this service, each time a new passport is issued up to the
completion of 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age
in view of biological changes in face of the applicant.
4. Re-issuance of OCI registration certificate and visa is not mandatory,
each time a new passport is issued between 21-50 years of age.
However, if the applicant wishes to avail this service, he/she can apply
for the same.

Thank you both for your replies. So, on that note how do we need to apply OCI if we are going to be based in India.

For example if the British passport of my daughter who is 5 year old is expiring in April 2016, and the person is living in India with an OCI at that time. Can you please explain the steps that I need to follow and where do I need to make applications

I believe these are the steps, correct me if I am wrong please.
1. Renew the British passport from India.
a. where do I need to make the application for renewing British passport in India
b. Once the British passport is renewed, isn't that mean that OCI on old passport is not valid? (based on child criteria)
2. Apply for OCI miscelaneous service from India by submitting new UK passport
a. where do I need to apply for OCI in India
b. What is the fee?
c. During the Old and new passport transition period what would be the status of my child in India as OCI on old passport is not valid

Can you please reply. Sorry for lot of questions
