France Schengen VISA Queries

Post by KPSP » Tue Jan 12, 2016 11:33 am

Hi All,

Could you please help me with the below question for France Schengen VISA.

1. I am planning to submit the below documents for my VISA, could any one tell me if anything is missing?

- Filled Application Form
- Passport and VISA
- To and Fro Tickets
- Rented House (AirBnB) confirmation letter
- Travel Insurance
- Employment Letter
- 6 months UK bank statement
- 3 months Payslips
- Marriage Certificate

2. What should be the content in the Employment Letter? (Should it be that I have been working in X company from this time)

3. In order to get multiple entry VISA with one year validity, is it enough if I furnish relevant proofs i.e. tickets, accommodation and insurance for two trips.

One in March 2016 and other in Jan 2017?

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend that you visit the French TLS contact centre web site to get the precise list of documents required. I applied just over a year ago, and the details on web site were very clear.

https://www.tlscontact.com/gbLON2fr/docs.php

The employment letter is usually to confirm that you have been granted leave for the holiday period where you will be travelling, and that you would returning to your employment there. Do verify the guidance in the website.

Multiple entry Schengen visas are usually only issued to those who have held multiple schengen visas in the past with a proven travel history to the schengen area (& also always met the terms of their previous schengen visas with no overstay). If your travel iteninary covers multiple trips with supporting documents you may be able to request a visa to cover the trips in a cover letter - but do no that there is no guarantee that you will be granted a multiple entry visa.

I have applied recently and got a 5 year Schengen visa so did my wife.

But I have had multiple visa/s from

Austria / Spain / Italy and France
so I dont know how the hell did I get a 5 year visa but cant complain.

1) Correct

2) yes - that is exactly what TLS website has.

eg MR J Smith has been working in Blue Corp Ltd since Aug 2010 has Sales Director - his annual salays is £xxx

Please do not hesitate to contact me in case of furthur queries

HR Personel

Blue Corp Ltd.

3) your two trips - how do you say they are two trips?

If you consider the below

01 Feb to 10 Feb France

08 Mar to 10 March Spain

These are individual trips and cannot be used for one application.

it has to be

01Feb to 10 Feb France
10 Feb to 12 Feb Spain

so your calculation of Mar 2016 and Jan 2017 is invalid.

While I'd agree that you cannot list these two trips in the schengen form itself, you can however explain your travel plan in a covering letter, which covers more than one visit over a given time period, requesting for a multiple entry visa to be issued for that period.

I've done this more than once and been granted schengen visas covering the requested time period & sometimes more. Do however note that I too had previous schengen visas issued to me over the previous year.
