Hello there,

An EU national here applying for a permanent residency certificate.
My timeline is as follows:

* 30.07.2016 - application posted
* 01.08.2016 - the application was received by Home Office
* 03.08.2016 - the payment was cleared from my bank account

Because of nature of documents in question - I have posted my passport, employment contracts, my college
certificates, payslips, etc...I would have at least expected a ' letter of acknowledgement ' from Home Office.

I have tried contacting Home Office by email, to no avail.
The home office admin have just very briefly replied to my email that Home Office is NOT able provide any
sort of info via email.

I understand that some of the folks on here did receive some kind of acknowledgement email.
It would be nice if representative processing my application, would have got in touch, just acknowledging the
receipt of documents.

I gather, that some of the applicants have been waiting for months.
Perhaps, due to Brexit situation, Home Office is experiencing high volume of applications being submitted...

Have they only communicated with you, that would be immensely appreciated....

Hi Everyone,

just wanted to share my story and our timelines to help out. This blog has been a big help for me and my husband.

My husband Non EEA national, myself EEA national and has become British a year ago.

We have applied for my husband`s Permanent Residence card.

Application sent: 14.05.2016
COA received about a month later.
We received our documents back yesterday 03.11.2016 followed by a letter from the Home Office that his PR Card will be sent within 10 days.

So it seems the Home Office is very busy, it took them exactly 6 months to get back to us.

I have read loads of questions about the PR application form on this forum.
May I suggest that anyone who is filling out the form and preparing your paperwork, just try to think with the head of the caseworker? The caseworker never met you (probably never will), knows absolutely nothing about you and still has to make a life-changing decision about you or your family member. So for your own benefit you need to make sure that you provide all the evidence you can think of and you need to be as clear as possible. I hope this helps a little when filling out your forms.

I am happy to answer questions to help you out guys!
Good luck!
