Professional Referee Question

Post by Sofiathefirst » Wed Jan 20, 2016 6:08 pm

Hello,

Can anyone tell me please if a violence prevention worker can be a professional referee?

Also can a GP be a professional referee?

Thanks

GP is not on the approved list. A GP would be accepted for a small child that they are engage with though.

Doubtful.

Is a vpw a professional?

Are they a member of professional organisation?
Have you checked 'acceptable professions' list.

Thank you. Yes I have checked the accepted professionals list and it doesn't mention violence prevention worker but I'm not sure if that's similar to a social worker. I don't have many choices.

Also can anyone advise if a heart surgeon would be acceptable. He is a family friend for many years but he knows my husband better than he knows me and I believe we have only met once.

Would appreciate anyone's advise. I am due for my appointment soon and having difficulty finding a suitable professional referee. Many thanks.

No it is not the same as a social worker.

Anyone at work maybe or previous employment?

A pharmacist at your local chemist?

I have only worked part time for about six months because I have small children and need to be there for them, so I had to leave my job when summer holidays came around.

Also do not know the local chemist as have not needed one very often.

I also have a question regarding referee and instead of creating new thread I thought to post here....

Can a Doctor be a Referee...do they come under Civil Servant Category?

Or can I have two Professional References as --> I have two Jobs, so can I have a Reference from two different managers?

Thanks for your help

Yes, heart surgeon, a GP or a doctor could be a referee.

Do you know anyone who is a contractor working via his/her own limited company company? They can be your referee as a Director of a Limited Company/VAT registered company.
