Order of Documents.

Post by tilak.tumma » Mon Oct 29, 2007 8:19 am

Hi there,

Is there a specific order in which hte documents and the form is to be arranged ?

Is it just intuitive..

1. Postal Order/Cheque
2. Covering Letter
3. Application Form
4. Documents in the order of details in the application
a) Post graduation ( Certificate & Marks Sheet )
b) Past Earning related ( Wage Slips, Bank Statement, Tax returns )
c) English Language ( Letter from Univ & Degree Certificate & Marks Sheet)

Should these all be filed in a folder ?
or Just clipped ad send in an envelope ?

Basic questions ..but just wanted to get it right and not make any goof ups.

Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Cheers,
Tilak

Arranging it properly

Post by pktamil2007 » Mon Oct 29, 2007 11:33 am

Hi,

I feel whatever way you send, arranging it properly making it easier for them to comprehend would always be advisable.

I had put separate thin plastic folders for each section and arranged the sections in the same way as it is in application form.

1. Covering letter
2. Application form
3. Documents for Individual sections

Also while sending the driver license, since it is a small card and most likely to be misplaced, I had just put a cello tape to it with the plastic folder.

Notorised Copy of passport

Post by tilak.tumma » Tue Oct 30, 2007 2:54 am

Hello,

I enclosed my Driving Licence as a proof of Age..

DO I also need to give the Notorised copy of the pasport ?

To my understanding, it is only a Exceptional Consideration document, when we are unable to give any of the Birth Certificate and Driving Licence.

Please clarify.

Cheers,
Tilak

Age proof

Thats correct Tilak.

Original driving license is enough for age proof. Notarized copy can only be used in case of exceptional consideration. Whether the reason you give for unavailability of birth certificate and license is convincing enough, is at the case worker's discretion.

Ideally, only drivers' license should be enough.

Just as an added note that: Generally we would have taken our drivers license long back and it would have gone through many ages of rain and sun :).
If its a card, So do laminate it before sending.
if its a booklet, put it in a small plastic cover and then send it
