Australian marrying an Irish

Post by London1986 » Fri Jan 22, 2016 11:41 am

Hello! Thank you in advance for your time and help.

I am a 29 year old Australian. My partner is Irish and we are looking to get married this year and live in Ireland. I understand I can get a Working Holiday Visa for Ireland while I'm still under 31 which will lasts 12 months.

I just need some help with the steps I need to take to be a recognized spouse in Ireland (any restrictions in getting married or getting residency in Ireland as a foreign spouse? how do I get residency) so that I will to be able to live and work in Ireland long term (not just for 12 months on a working holiday visa visa). I see that becoming a national will take three years of being married with other criteria.

Any help will be appreciated!
