ALL NOVEMBER - 2007 APPLICANTS :: PLEASE POST HERE

Post by newone79 » Mon Oct 29, 2007 11:48 am

Hi,

I am planning to apply for HSMP in this November - 2007.

I have some doubts regarding previous earnings evidence.

I wish to provide earnings evidence for the period oct-06 to sep-07.

i.e. For example take my CTC[Cost To Company]/Gross Earnings per year will be Rs. 6.5 lakhs ~ 7900GBP > 7500GBP and can claim 45 points for HSMP, but my net will be down around Rs. 5.5lakhs.

Can get proof from company for Gross.

The income tax return filed in April -07 will account for Rs. 5 lakhs only.

Bank statements will have the net income only.

Whether I can claim points for previous earnings by showing gross income or net income ?

If I am claim gross income, then there could be only one proof i.e. my salary certificate from the company.

Other documents such as pay slip, bank statement and it return will talk about net income only.

Also, let me know documents in order to be sent to Home Office.

Please advice me with your experience and knowledge.

Thank you.

Regards,
Saravana

@Saravana,
I dont think u can show the CTC and claim 45 points, in ur case u can atmost claim 40 points. Coz CTC in india includes PF(employer contribution), graduity and insurance stuff which will not come under ur gross earnings.
To keep it simple, take the sum of 12 months gross shown on ur payslip.
U can also add any bonus u've got, but for that u have to get a leter from ur employer and shud make a mention of that in ur cover letter.

Hi Friends,

My application has been delivered to the home office today. Here are the timelines so far:

Application Dispatched to the home office: 25th October, 2007
Application delivered: 29th October, 2007

I have made the payment through demand draft from a nationalised bank.

1) Can anyone tell me how long it takes for the payment through demand draft to be cleared?
2) Will I immediately get a reference number after clearance?
3) I saw a post early today mentioning that the home office is not entertaining progress status calls from the applicants anymore, how true is this?

Thanks and Regards
