You will get your decision after your temporary visa will expire but you can always try emailing eutreatyrights@justice.ie .

I got my five years approval letter today, please see the timeframe below.

Lodged EU1 on 12-June-2015
Temporary letter issued on 29-July-2015
decision due date: 11 december 2015
Temporary visa expired on 10 January 2016
5 Years approval letter issued on 20 January 2016
Post delivered at my address on 25 January 2016

In that time period the eu treaty rights hadnt asked me or sent me any letter requesting more documents.

Why they hadnt given you temporary stamp letter then ? I am assuming if 17th January is the decision due date than hopefully you will get the five years final decision letter by the end of this month pending Employment verification and no outstanding documents related to your application.

Hi Griffith,

Did you get acknowledgement letter in 1 month applying EU1?

Do you mind telling us what category EU1 was applied, dependent spouse or any other family member? Thanks

Yeah griffith hopefully i will get it soon..
Actually i was having problem in getting my passport renewed that time so someone told me to send all other documments so that the 6 months period starts.. So i did it and they exactly gave the decision date after 6 months of that during which i have sent my outstanding docunments

No Acknowledgement Letter, just temporary stamp letter was issued during 7 weeks on the basis of which i was given a temporary 6 months stamp 4 visa on the basis of my marriage to an EU citizen.

The six months decision timeframe starts from day one the EU 1 application is received in their office, also decision due date is not a guarantee that final letter will be issued in that time period but the final decision nowadays is taken after the temporary permission has expired.

Thanks Griffith,

Just to confirm the temporary stamp and 5 years visa are stamped on your passport i.e. a residence card is not issued.

Asking just to make sure that the passport validity should be 5 year plus ....

Hamza they will stamp ur passport until its validity. E.g if its valid for 6 months then they will give u stamp for 6 months on passport and then when u will renew ur passport u have to go to garda again to stamp the remainder time on ur passport
