On tier 2 visa & Child benefit

Post by JS28 » Mon Feb 01, 2016 11:35 pm

Hi,

I couldn't find the answer to my question so thought I'd ask people with kids here.

Are we allowed to claim for child benefits? We're having our first child and I was just curious about it

Many THanks

My understanding is it depends if there is a reciprocal agreement with your country.

No, you cannot claim child benefit until such time as you are granted ILR as you are an Indian national.
