HSMP dependent visa for spouse on wk perm

Post by Abhi » Wed Oct 31, 2007 12:19 pm

Hi There,
My wife is currently a Wk permit holder with the NHS. I recently applied for HSMP and my appplication has been suuccessful. I have been told by my case worker that when it comes to sending the passport and other docs for endorsement of visa, my wife's application will ALSO need to be sent along with mine ie her application cannot be made at a later stage. Is this true? is there any exception to this? Basically, my wife was hoping to transfer at a later stage.

Also, are there any restrictions on employment for the dependent - hours, etc?

Any advice / suggestions would be greatly apprecaited. Cheers!

Abhi

Your wife does not have to switch to being your dependent, although if she chooses to at a later stage she won't be able to do it from the UK.
