ILR query

hi all ,

i have to apply for my ILR in march end or 1 week of april ,
my wife came to uk feb10 2014 with tier 1 dependent .

can i apply as ILR dependent along with me ?
do i need to still pay the healthcare surcharge if i do this way?

Please make the effort of reading eligibility for dependents? have you done that?

i read all those i guess the question you didnt understand (might i didnt it in proper way).


instead applying as tier 1 dependent , can i apply along with my ilr as ILR dependent.
coz its just cheaper .
if i apply like ILR dependent , do i have to pay healthcare surcharge.

There is nothing called ILR dependent, its purely a dependent renewal /extension

its so appalling to see posts like these where no effort has been made to understand requirements, eligibility, not settled TAX affairs. And will continue in the citizenship section.

every person , in this forum ask one or the other , reading the full requirements and having everything in place , then there wont be not even a post nor this forum .

You cannot included your spouse on your Set (O) form.

If she does not extend her current visa, she can apply for FLR(M) which is a spouse settlement visa (or as you incorrectly call it an ILR Dep visa). This will reset her clock and she will have to wait a further 5 years on FLR(M) - 2 X 2.5 year visas - before she will qualify for ILR. She cannot combine her time spent as PBS Dep to this new 5 year requirement. Fees for spouse visa go up by 25% in April.

You have to pay the immigration health surcharge for both PBS Dependent and FLR(M).
