Tier-1 Entrepreneur visa revoked by SIA

Post by marketing786 » Sat Feb 13, 2016 5:21 pm

Dear Members

.....One of my friend asked me this question and I am asking you guys the same one as from me to see what he can do about the issue...

I received letter from SIA that you were awarded visa on your 1st company name and our record shows that you are only allowed to work for that company.

If not then you should send us home office approval letter stating that your business requires SIA licence.

I opened a second company which was security company and gained a contract from another company but this letter clearly stating that you are only allowed to do business for the company you have applied the visa for.

I am confused here shall I contact SIA or not because if thats true means i wasnt allowed to open second company anyways. It will activate border agency to look into second company as well.

Dont know what to do ? let the license be revoked ?

Any senior members with same experience

It depends on whether home office knew about the new company you are running and SIA will definitely confirm from HO whether he is allowed to work under that company.

Second point is that If SIA license is front line then he is hardly allowed to work on it or if it is non front line then easy to justify.

There are two types of SIA license

A front line licence is required if undertaking licensable activity, other than key holding activities (this also covers undertaking non-front line activity). A front line licence is in the form of a credit card-sized plastic card that must be worn, subject to the licence conditions.

A non-front line licence is required for those who manage, supervise and/or employ individuals who engage in licensable activity, as long as front line activity is not carried out - this includes directors* or partners. A non-front line licence is issued in the form of a letter that also covers key holding activities.

May be I'm wrong.. more senior and experienced members will give better advice.

It would be better if you paste the actual text of the letter received.
This English dose not look like to be from SIA
THANKS
