This is a query on job. Is it required that the same employee be retained for 12 months? Does the criteria for job creation entail the role is filled for 12 months or the same employee is retained for 12 months?

Because in creative media business, we have to hire the best talent and sometimes have to check performances before taking on someone as long term as 12 months.

Also what if the employee leaves or gets fired?

Can someone advise if it is the role that has to be operational and filled for 12 months or the same employee for 12 months?

I am in the same situation. Hired 5 different sales person. Once they couldn't reach the targets and had to leave the job.

I hope it shouldn't be a problem.

If you entered the Tier 1 entrepreneur route before 6 April 2014, you have to create an equivalent of two full time jobs each for at least a year. There is no restrictions on how many jobs/roles you create and you can add them up to satisfy the job requirement. For example you CAN hire 4 employees for 6 months in parallel to qualify for your job creation.

If you entered the Tier 1 entrepreneur route after 6 April 2014, you have to create two separate full time jobs (separate roles) each lasting for at least 12 months. Obviously you can have multiple employees working over the course of 12 months (or replace your employees along the way) as long as the role/job you created exists for 12 months. Therefore you CANNOT hire 4 employees for 6 months but you can hire someone for 4 months, then replace him for another 4 months and then get another replacement for the last 4 months !
