Visa requirements for Parents

Post by kmittal82 » Wed Feb 24, 2016 1:45 pm

Hi,

I would like to know what visa options are available to invite my parents to migrate permanently to the UK?
I am a British citizen however my parents are Indian citizens. They do not require special care of assistance.

I've seen the category of "Family of a settled person in the UK" visa however it seems to apply more to partners or spouses, or of elderly people who require special care.

Can someone tell me, on a high level, what options are avaliable for my parents to allow them to permanently immigrate to the UK? My case is fairly straightforward, my parents are in good health and have enough funds to apply for the visa. Once here, I will be happy to pay for their sustenance

Thanks in advance

The door to settlement for elderly dependent parents has been virtually closed, apart for those in extreme circumstances where daily care is required for dressing, washing, feeding etc. That care should also unavailable in their home country or unaffordable. Judging from your post, you parents don't qualify.
