Please help: Age related question

Post by ashbhai » Tue Nov 06, 2007 2:03 pm

Hi all,
Please help me to clear my confusion regarding my interpretation of points I will get on my age.
My Date of Birth is 16th November 1980.
If I apply for HSMP after the coming 16th November, say on 17th November 2007 how many points I would get?
As per the HSMP clause, persons who are 27 or under would get 20 points.
So would I be getting 20 points or just 10 points?
Please enlighten me.
Many thanks
ash

Hi ash,

You are eligible to claim 20 points.

Under HSMP Guidance, following is mentioned:

85. Any application received by us on or after
your birthday can no longer be considered
under the previous age band. For example, if
you are about to reach your 28th Birthday,
and you wish to claim 20 points for being in
the 27 or under age category, you should
ensure that your applications reaches us by
the last working day before your 28th
Birthday.

So, on 16th November, you will be celebrating 27th birthday and not 28th..!! And you have additional one year time.. !!

Regards,
S.I
