ILR For Kids born Abroad

Post by Freeman78 » Mon Feb 29, 2016 8:05 pm

Hi
Kindly advise on situation below.
Father British ( Through 10 year route)
Wife and 2 children born abroad Arrived in uk Sep 2009 as work permit dependent living in uk and Currently On FLRM ( 2 years ) switched Prior to changes within FLR M Route

Wife still going through life in the uk test preparation however only a month left before vis a Flrm runs out.
Any chance we can apply for KIDS ILR while wife apply for FLR M extension? if yes What form to use please?

I know somewhere rule says they cant but do you think its worth trying?

My understanding is that your children's settlement is in line with the less privileged parent....in this case, your wife.

Thank you CAS
however i am still convinced that kids stand a chance of getting ilr cuz they have been here long enough.
Do you know what form shall i fill in? SET O or SET M?

I am thinking of booking a window appointment and take ILR Form and FLRM form both filled in and if they dont accept ILR form i can always submitt FLRM??
Please advise?

Thats not a good news.

I am assuming they will have to extend using FLR M and pay health surcharge?
Also please advise if there is an income requirment for FLRM extension?
Kind Regards

Afternoon Vinny
Thank you very much and please accept my appology for being Naive, Just reading through the Flrm App form it say
All other applicants, including those who were granted leave to remain as a partner of a Relevant
Points Based System Migrant before 9th July 2012, must meet the financial requirement for
leave to remain in this category.

My wife and kids were granted FLRM in March 2014 for two years. Do i not need to meet the Financial requirment?

IHS for a FLR(M) application is £500 per person. FLR(M) extension will likely be for 2.5 years.

You can apply in person if you wish.
