Name splitting in Indian passport before citizenship

Hello,

I am on ILR and eligible to apply for British Citizenship. In my Indian passport I have the surname field blank and my First name and Surname is given together in given names field.Just wondering if I need to get this fixed in Indian passport before applying for British Citizenship. Can I l specify First name and surname separately in Citizenship application even though that wont match with Indian passport?

Note that the name itself need no correction, it just need to be split to Firstname and surname
