New SET O Form

Post by vijay1 » Fri Mar 18, 2016 1:34 pm

Hello Members,

I am applying for my ILR next week under Tier-2 general category and booked slot last month. I paid the old fee of £1900. Today there was new SET O FORM released.

Which form do I need to submit and if I need to submit the new set o form, what about the increased fee amount?

Many thanks,
Vijay

You should be fine to use the old form. There is usually a transition period.

Hi CR001,

I just reviewed the new Set O form and it says following:
In accordance with paragraph 34 of the Immigration Rules, this form is a specified form for the purpose of the Immigration Rules as of 18 March 2016 and must be used for all applications made on or after that date for the purposes stated on this page.
So it seems like applicants need to use this version of the form from now on. I don't see much difference though. Also I didn't see any transitional period on this form.

Please let us know if you know about any transitional arrangements.

On the safer side, I will take both versions of the forms with me
Thanks
R

Thanks. Wasn't able to review form while at work. HO really are clamping down. Seems they have may removed the transitional period for older versions. Will have to look into but am not sure.
