EEA PR form sections for qualifying person and wife

Post by csabapalfi » Sat Mar 19, 2016 11:26 pm

Hi,

First of all thanks for all the existing topics and answers! This forum is amazing.

My wife and me want to get a document certifying permanent residence for both of us using the EEA PR form (or more like parts of it).

We (both EEA A8 nationals) moved to the UK on 03/10/2010. I started working 11/10/2010 (registered with WRS, too - lost certificate but have an official letter from UKVI to prove that). My wife only found work around a year later and sometimes was out of work so we want to base our application on me sponsoring her (but I'm also applying for the document at the same time).

1. We're skipping the following sections assuming they're definitely not relevant. Is that OK?
  • Biometrics (non-EEA family member applying)
  • Section 2 (my sponsor - as I'm the main applicant and I don't need a sponsor but sponsor my wife - is that correct?)
  • Section 4 (replacing existing document)
  • Section 6,7,8 (dead, ceased acitvity, retained right)
  • Section 10 (Surinder Singh)
  • Section 12,13,14,15 (descendant, dependant, extended family)
2. We're filling sections below. Does that look OK?
  • Payment details (just one for both of us - as it mentions family members)
  • Section 1 - Applicant details (just one for both of us - as it mentions family members)
  • Section 3 - About your application (just one for both of us - as it mentions family members)
  • Section 5 - Residence (one each)
  • Section 9 - Activity (one - with my details)
  • Section 11 - Spouse (one - with my wife's details)
  • Section 16 - Benefits (just one - also mentioning in cover letter that none of us have claimed any benefits)
  • Section 17 - Personal history - crime, etc (just one for both of us - as it mentions family members)
  • Section 18 - Documents and evidence (just one for both of us - as it mentions family members)
  • Section 19 - Declarations (one each, mine with only the applicant(A) section filled, my wife's with both applicant(A) and sponsor(B) section filled)
  • Document checklist - will probably send a custom one as we have a lot more evidence
Will also send a cover letter with some explanations.

3. Do we definitely need to send a copy for each document - even for printouts/bank statements we don't want back? (We have lots of evidence, the package will be huge)

Just realised that the first point under question 1 might be confusing. What I mean is that we skipped the biometrics section as it's only required if a non-EEA family member is applying which is not true in our case.

Upon re-reading the form I decided to only send one declaration (Section 19) under my name.
