Rule changes - MAC review

Post by dialectic » Thu Mar 24, 2016 3:27 pm

Hi guys.

Just read about this and it looks a bit scary. Especially rising the threshold to £30,000 for experienced workers.

The question would be whether this rules will affect only new applicants or you have to earn more even if you are already a tier 2 worker (?)

Same thing with extensions. If you are earning below 30,000 and need to extend after this rules have been implemented. Will you be refused based on salary?

Several other recommendations also getting implemented in 2016/17

- Minimum salary for Tier 2 ICT to be £41500 from April 2017
- Immigration Skills levy of £1000 per applicant per year
- Immigration Health Surcharge of £200 per applicant per year including dependents for Tier 2 ICT

A big blow for immigrants on Tier 2 :(
They will feel more and more less welcome
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Hi,

My Tier2 ICT long term visa is due to be extended on Feb 2017.

Can you please let me know whether the below rule changes are applicable for me?

Regards,
