Please help.

Post by ikhan7 » Thu Mar 31, 2016 7:46 pm

Hi,
I just need a advise:
I got ceremony letter invitation for 6/4/2016 , I got my holidays booked for 24 April.
Do you think I got enough time to get my passport before 24th April if I attend ceremony on 6/04/2016. According to new rules I have to return my BRP within 5 days after attending ceremony then after that I won't be able to travel utill I get my British passport. Or it is better to rearrange the ceremony in May as I will be back in UK.
Kindly help.
Thanks.

Unlikely you will get a British passport in time.

Suggest you reschedule your ceremony for when you are back from your holidays.

Thanks for your advice, really appreciated.
I am going to book it for 19/05/2016, will I be OK?
I guess you have to attend ceremony within 90 days of approval.

If that is within 90 days then yes, should be fine.

One more question please, When this 90 days period starts , is it from the Date of approval or date letter received ?

Thanks

Hi,
I applied on 22 January , few of my friends who applied in December 2015 still waiting so I would suggest you not to worry and wait. Good luck.
