Calculation of continuous period for ILR

Post by pradeap » Wed Apr 06, 2016 11:44 am

Hi

Could some one please help me in calculating the continuous period for ILR

I first got the Tier 2 visa on 20 March 2012 and my end of employment is on 7th July 2013 Visa expired and left the UK on 19th July.

I again got the Cos with a different sponsor and applied for Tier 2 visa from India on August 21st 2013 (32 days after my visa expired) Came back to the UK on 16 Sep 2013 (58 days after my visa expired)

Am I able to consider my period of stay from 20 March 2012 till 19th July 2013 for the ILR continuous period calculation? or I need to calculate my 5 years from 16 Sep 2013?

Thanks,

When you applied for a second time from India, that is entry clearance which resets your ILR clock. Your 5 year continuous residency period would start from 16 Sep 2013.
