Applying for a Schengen with new passport/old passport

Post by megmog » Mon Apr 11, 2016 5:46 pm

I was wondering if anyone had experience (successful or otherwise) of applying for a schengen visa as a non-eea member using their "new" passport, when their permanent residence card (via EEA route) is in their "old" passport?

I know it's possible to travel back into the UK using the combined method, but wasn't so sure about applying for a schengen (if it makes any difference, we'd be applying via the Hungarian embassy - it's just for a long weekend trip).

It won't be a problem if you submit both passports.
