The Home Office are working on a scheme where it will allow employment once an Immigration Employment Document e.g WP, HSMP, TWES etc has been approved but FLR IED is yet to be granted - details have no tbeen finalised and it will not be retrospective.

I would wait and watch for a while at my company. The year ending is coming and thats performance apprisial time plus discretionary bonus where I work. So I would like to wait and see what they have to offer and if they address some of the issues they promised.

i do envy you there. now with the interim changes in FLR and your HSMP you really have the freedom to move without worrying unnecessarily about FLR

Tell me guys,

The modification the HO has made on the rules on change of employment . Is it restricted to WP only or HSMP holders also fall in the same category?

Please update... I have to make important decision.

Appreciate your help

We think it also applied to work permit holders who have recieved HSMP approval letters. However it would be best to get a confirmation from the HO. I have been trying to call up but no avail.

Nope, unless you inform them yourself.

Employers won't get confirmation of your change but remember to ensure that they inform the HO after you switched off.....you might want to send a letter to your employer asking them to inform the HO....
I'm concerned about that topic, I don't want that a mistake from my employer will create a problem for me in the future....

It should not be a problem for you try-one. Your change has been approved by the home office and outside the influence of your current employer. Then you go ahead and leave the employment. At that time, it is the duty of the employer to inform the HO that the employment has been terminated. This is necessary in cases where the employee is a work permit holder.

If the HO comes to know that the employer did not inform them then it will make is more difficult for the employer to get future work permit. Does not effect you at all.

Have a look at this... Its the "Notifcation of End of employment" to be submitted by the employer (or his solicitor) to the HO.
