You will have to try and find another Tier 2 G sponsor.

Your time towards 10 years long residence ILR starts from Feb 2007 when you returned to the UK.

Thanks @cr001 for your reply. Its hard for me to find T-2 at the moment due to market situation. The second thing is that when i was away from UK from Mar-06 to Jan-07 i was on same student visa hence i did not obtained a visa to come back to uk in Feb-07.

Could you plz let me know is there is any other way to spend this 6 months. If i apply ILR now and they refused so will they give me in country appeal right?

thank you very much for your time.

Thanks.

It makes no difference that you had a valid visa while you were absent. For long residence ILR, any absence of more than 180 days breaks your continuous residence which is why you can only count from Feb 2007.

Surely you need to find leave for another 10 months to Feb 2017 for 10 year ILR?

Find a T2 sponsor or give up.
