EU Residence Card (Article 10) or EEA Permit????

Hello,

I'm very sorry if this has been asked before but I haven't managed to find the information for my specific case.

I, British national, and my non-EU spouse,Argentinian, are currently living in Spain and have been for the last 2/3 months. My wife is currently waiting to receive her EU Family Member Card (Article 10 of DIRECTIVE 2004/38/EC). I would like to know if she needs an EEA permit to travel to the UK or can travel with her EU family member card:

a) for a weekend e.g. to see family
b) to move there indefinitely

The information on the .gov website (see link below) states that you shouldn't need an EEA permit to enter the country if you hold an EU Family Member Card from another EU state (in our case Spain); however, would this mean it would cause problems when applying for a UK residence card later down the line (i.e. without the EEA permit)

I would welcome any members who have experience, maybe even with experience in using this route which ws opened last yeat April 2015.

No later problems in UK.
A family member may collect and hold as many RCs as they wish. They are simply confirmatory documents - they do not confer any rights by themselves.
