MN1 Registration - Discretionary leave

Hi There,

its me again with another question.

I've got British and my 3rd child is also British since she was born here but my wife and my other 2 children were given discretionary leave.They have been in this country like nearly 5 years now.

Nearly 3 and half years were dependant and then got this discretionary leave and its been another 1 yr or so.

I have been told that i can register them for naturalisation MN1 application for my other two child.Is that true? what are the possiblitlities.?

is there a rule that i can register them after 2 years of discretionary leave?

PS: They both were born in India before i got my ILR and CC.

Children born abroad are expected to hold ILR before they qualify for citizenship.

Mother will need ILR too and to be naturalising at the same time.

So it means until or unless the mother gets the ILR,I can't do anything for my children.Am i right?
