Nadine refused Mumbai flight due to visa

Post by Dawie » Thu Nov 22, 2007 5:02 pm

Nadine Coyle has not been allowed on a flight to Mumbai because she forgot to sort out her visa.

The Girls Aloud star was supposed to be visiting her on-off boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe, but was refused entry onto the plane at Heathrow airport.

In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

BIG DEAL? She might be a young white lady and it doesnt mean that she should be treated differently. Airlines have an obligation to refuse check in to passengers that fail to the entry requirements and she is no exception. No one would have given a shit about her if she is not a young caucasian lady.

That's the exact point I'm trying to make! I always have to smile when I see arrogant and somewhat naive white British people suffering the same indignation with visas that most third-world people have to suffer through.

Her naivity is highlighted by the fact that she "forgot" to sort out her visa, in other words, she thought she could just walk onto a plane with her British passport and that would be that, which, in the case of visiting most countries, it would have been. Unfortunately for her, the Indian government requires visas for British citizens.
