Need information about dependent HSMP visa

Post by pune_pthsmp » Sun Nov 25, 2007 9:52 pm

Hi,
I applied for HSMP in month of August.
Got approval in September 1st week.
Then I applied for entry clearance.
I got approval for entry clearance in September.
and travelled to UK in November 1st week.
When I applied for HSMP I was single.
I got married in August. But as initially I applied for HSMP as single I went through entire process as single.
So now if I want to file dependent visa for my husband will it create a problem since I applied for visa as single.
Please advice.
I will be mentioning in sponsorship letter regarding my case while application and why I did not apply for entry clearance as married?
Will it be sufficient if I do that?
Please pour in your valuable suggestions.
Thanks

Hiya,

Don't believe it should be a problem. You can always mention in the cover note that you intended to come into the country and settle down a bit before you brought your family along.

That should explain why you did not apply for his visa in September.

I believe its the FLR (M) you need to use?

Cheers.

Q regarding dependent visa-
I have to apply for my wife and son dependent visa , is there a requirement for certain minimum funds to be shown ?
I will show original rental agreement, job offer letter, 1.5 month salary and relavant bank details.
reason for this question is that typically when one applies for EC from home country it is expected to show some funds per person. Now that I am in the UK with permanent job will I still need to show bank balance or details as above will suffice?
