Tier 2: Secondment to NYC

Hi All,

I was hoping someone could please help me with a query. My partner has been secondment (temporarily relocated) for work to NYC from the on the 24th of February 2016 to Early September 2016, she is going to be there for slightly longer then 6 months. She is on a Tier 2 General visa which expires in September and will be coming back just before the visa expires to have it renewed and continue work with her current employer in London.

My question is, will there be an issue with her being out of the country for longer then 6 months? Or is there anything else we should take into account?

Details: Tier 2 was issued in August 2014 and Expires in September 2016.

if your aim is ilr in the long run, then keep the leave limited to 180 days in a year.
