Passing the Genuine Entrepreneur Test

Post by Commando » Fri Jun 17, 2016 1:09 pm

News:

Latest figures released by the Office for National Statistics reveal that currently 51% of all Tier 1 Entrepreneur entry clearance applications are refused by the Home Office.
The test is applied strictly and the Home Office expects to see a large volume of supporting documentation as proof that the applicant is a genuine entrepreneur. Even a genuine entrepreneur will find it difficult to pass the test, and may find themselves invited for interview, or have their application refused if it is not properly prepared.

Stop scaring everyone. If you have the necessary documents and a good solicitor, you will be fine.

@Commando, a link to the source of this would be appropriate.

When looking at this boards it is surprising it is only 51% as there are clearly a lot of people who are not really into entrepreneurship rather just looking for a way to get a visa and no other route really fits them. Yes I have the heard the stories of the same £200K being flipped between applicants. A lot of people also seem to think it is their universal right to get a UK visa without bringing real value in return.

Now they have genuine entrepreneur test (very logical that UK actually try and verify the Entrepreneurs are real for this visa) and I agree with OP, take it seriously.

Of course because of all the fakers and losers the serious entrepreneurs are also hurt.

I could not find the data you claim in your OP. It talks about all T1 visas together could not find anything about t1E except that they are clamping down on abuse.
