FLR(FP) - when will I get decision

Post by koolkate » Mon Jun 20, 2016 11:45 am

Hi, I've applied for FLR(FP) seven years on child basis this time last year. There is no reply from home office, my lawyer said that we have to wait until october to challenge them to make a decision however before she said we could challenge them once the whole year is completed. Can someone tell me when can we ask home office to make a decision? I've sent an email to my lawyer to clarify it but she's not replying so I would really appreciate any help from you guys.
Thanks for your time.

To avoid confusion & jumbled responses, I have moved your question to its own thread (this one).

Can anyone please tell me how long does it usually take for home office to make a decision?

Home Office decision making for FLR(FP) applications is generally a lengthy process. You should be prepared to wait up to one year or more depending on the complexity of your case.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

It's been a year now, I am just worried that they might be just waiting for my son to turn 18. He is 17 now and the case is based on him being a dependent child and also that now UK has left EU and it's a human right case.
