ILR Application| Tier 2 | visa stamp date and work start

Hello,

I am planning to apply for ILR (indefinite leave to remain) and I need some help with the below query.

1. My Tier2 General visa was issued from 8-August-2011. I switched to Tier2 from Post Study work visa.
2. Actual Employment started from 5th September-2011.

So according to work start date my 5 years will complete on 5th Sept-2016. However, as per my visa stamp I will complete my 5 years on Tier2 on 5th August 2016. So which date will be considered for ILR - Visa Stamp Date or Work Start Date? I am planning to apply on 15th July. As I will need to submit my employers letter and on that they will mention 4 years 10 month (till July). Am I eligible to apply on 15th July 2016?

Visa date and 28 days before that date, which means you should be able to apply on July 15th..Thanks

I have a similar question. I got Tier 2 from India on 28th August 2011 but I came to only on 27th September. Can I apply 28 days before my visa start date?
