Tier 2 Visa Length

Hi There,

Just a quick one, I am approaching 5 years in the UK on a Tier 2 General visa but the way things have worked out I will be applying for a new Tier 2 visa with a new sponsor just before.

I know that 6 years is the maximum you can stay in the UK on a Tier 2, is there a minimum length of time a visa can be issued for? i.e. I only need a visa for 3 months but the maximum i can now have it for is 13 months.

there is no min.
Suggest go for 6 months, as this will give you enough time to arrange for ilr calmly and would be cheapest for ILS fee.
